Some Insight

Postby NIGHTSHADE » Wed Sep 29, 2004 1:29 am

I had a team in my League back in 1999 who started 0-7!!! He then ran off six straight wins {in which I was first to be beaten in that line} and then he ended up 6-8. Nice comeback! {but he missed playoffs.}
POINT:
Sometimes it may just be as much fun to play spoiler against other owners.[/b]

Any idea on what I should do with my team?

Lovable Losers (0-3) 10 team league

QB P. Manning*
RB A. Green* A. Stecker* D. McAllister, K. Jones, M. Bennett, S. Jackson
WR T. Owens* R. Wayne* J. Smith* Q. Morgan, A. Bryant, E. Kennison, D. Givens,
TE L.J. Smith*
K J. Carney*
D Jaguars*

How the hell are you 0-3??? Maybe I'm not used to these ten team leagues. Anything under 12 teams is too easy for me.

Most people say that. But I seriously doubt the majority pay into an 8 team league and come away with the same opinion.

You're more than welcome to pay into mine next season. I'd love to see how you'd fare. }:-)

GRAB EM... same goes for Monday night...

Great point and very true... People tend to show up stronger in the nationally televised games... ;-D

last year my team started 0-9, I did not give up and had great joy knocking two friends out of the playoffs and beating the number one team to finish 3-12.

Well, should I give up? :(

don't give up man for all you know you could win the next 3 games i was 2-6 a few years ago and i won 5 in a row to make the playoffs. so anything is possible.

I started off the season 0-5 last year in a 10 team league. After making several roster moves that payed off, I rattled off 8 straight wins, winning my division and didn't lose until the championship game.

Moral of the story: DON'T GIVE UP! Even if you don't finish with a good record, you at least helped make the league competitive. Quitters ruin good leagues.
