Whats Wrong With Chad Johnson ?

I have Chad Johnson in both of my leagues. Based on his numbers a year ago I was counting on him to be my Stud WR. He was great with Jon Kitna but average with Carson Palmer. My other WR SMoss DJackson have also under achieved.

I though of trading him but I'm even getting weak offers for him.

I think there are a couple of reasons.

There are some growing pains with Palmer. He is spreading the ball around but mistakes will happen.

I think the biggest reason is their schedule. They have one of the toughest schedules in the league this year, and I think that will take it's toll on the Bengals. As a result, I feel Palmer, Rudi, and Chad's #'s will suffer some.

Week 1 he scored, no problem there.
Week 2 he was facing arguably the best pass D in the lg, Miami.
Week 3 vs the Ravens he had 99 rec yds. Not the worst day.

Just be patient.

I also have him in both of my leagues. I am not worried. His numbers have not been great, but they have been respectable. He will get his #'s. He was targeted 18 times last week according to Yahoo's Mike Harmon; most of any receiver in the league. Listen to Gambini, he speaks the truth.

i've watched all of his games, and he is a STUD. The numbers will come, it's tough to get open when you are double covered almost ALL of the time, especially when it's two of the best defenses in the league.

yeah you gotta be patient with Palmer. He's got a great arm and he's big, but his accuracy is not pin point right now and he makes alot of mistakes. But I expect both Palmer and Johnson's numbers to improve especially if they can get into some shootouts this year.

Screw that put Kitna in!....jokes aside Kitna and Chad had a decent on field relationship that was at least a few years running. Palmer and Chad just need some on field bonding time vs not so great defenses. Wait till mid to late season. The two SHOULD BE clicking.
