This is really a tossup. But, TJ will be the focus of the offense, while the Jets have the luxury of Pennington to Moss/McCareins, while we have The Mighty Quinn to Terrell/Wade ( ). It could be really close, but I think Jones will see more carries and get the better numbers.

C-Mart goes up against Miami. I'm not sure how good their run D is anymore, but it's not as good as Philly's.
So delay.
For the record: Philly is allowing about 108 rushing yards per game to RBs, and .6 TDs, as well as a good hamdful of receiving yards to RBs.
Miami is allowing 143 rushing yards per game to opposing RBs, but no TDs.
However............
Miami's opponents are rushing the ball an average of 34.3 times a game with an average run of 4.2
Philly opponents are running the ball an average of 20.00 times a game for an average run of 5.4
What makes it interesting and furthers the spirit of this post is that C-mart averages 30.5 carries a game and averages 157.5 ypg. T.J. averages 22 carries with a 109.7 YPG .These stats are interesting (wesley walker) because they almost mirror what their upcoming opponents are allowing.
To the original post, this upcoming week might not be the best indicator of who to go with. C-mart has success in the past where T.J. has had very little. But you aren't gonna win games on past performances. So, with that said, don't take this as advice if you don't wish...but! If "I" were "you," I would be more likely to hang on to T.J.
[quote="Kensat30"]Unless you absolutely have to make a deal this week, I would put this one on the back burner. In another week, we'll see how much effect the loss of Grossman will have on the Bear's and Thomas Jones. Remember how horribly awful the Bear's were last season behind Kordell Stewart? Gotta wait and see on that one.[quote]
Toss up aside, this is probably the preferrable option.
I gotta admit, this is a tough question to answer. I'm going to go with Martin. His history predicates that he always gets the job done, even in tough situations. Martin always seems to come through, although the TD totals last season were disappointing. Doesn't seem to be a problem this year!
Jones looks great in Chi-town, but I don't think Grossman's injury will help him much. Teams may focus more on stopping TJ since Quinn is largely untested as a QB. Still, TJ has looked good, but I'm prone to go with the proven commodity, and that's Curtis Martin.
I don't think Jones is a fly by night back...I think he has real talent...Grossman being out does make things interesting......I give the edge to Jones.....but both are capable backs....
