tynes is hot garbage

I'm rescuing this concept from a thread that was going nowhere.

What IS going on with KC? I really would have thought that Tynes would be a decent pickup. Andersen always had good numbers with that offense.

I like his chances this week vs. BAL; you would think that the Ravens D would stiffen near the goal line and force some FGs. (Or maybe this is wishful thinking.)

What do you think? Is it just early and 3 games of fluky luck, or is KC particularly ill-suited to make FGs? (Priest ran on a 4th & 2 where he got stuffed last week, so that didn't help.)

Those were my thoughts on Tynes also, I dropped Stover for him, I would have been 3-0 if I would have just kept Stover, DOH!! I just cut Tynes today and added Viniteri, off the FA list, someone dropped him Monday morning

With kickers it's so hard to tell.

I like Tynes this week vs the Ravens. KC should move the ball with some success I would think.

tynes will not do well this year. KC's def is so awful, they will be playing from behind every game, and will need to be scoring TDs not FG. Baltimore should make it a short game by runing with jamal, running with jamal, and then running with jamal some more. KC won't be able to stop them so they'll be forced to go for the end zone.

Well, the so-called high-powered offense of KC isn't looking so hot. Green has been off, Holmes has been alright, but no receiver has really stepped up. You'd think that Tynes would've AT LEAST had one decent game by now, so I gave up on him. I don't see KC turning it around in a BIG way this year, but I'm sure they'll turn it up a little bit sooner rather than later. But, I don't think Tynes is worth keeping in any league that has a guy like Carney available on the wire. The Saints have proven to be high-powered this year, even without the Deuce. As long as Stecker does his thing while hes out, Brooks will continue to do his and I think Carney will have a great year. Add to that Joe Horn being himself and Stallworth possibly re-emerging from the depths of being one of the most overrated players the last few years and you have a recipe for success with Carney (who has a big leg to boot). Drop Tynes........I'm sure in most leagues there's someone available who's more reliable right now.

You were expecting way too much if you thought he would outperform someone like Stover. Tynes won't be worth much IMO, Paladyr summed up nicely how KC's suckiness won't help him.

Personally, I've got him in a 16-team league, so Kris Brown is the cream of the FA crop.

Too bad, preseason I was feeling pretty smug about the Tynes pickup.
