Derrick Mason -- buy low or wait out the storm?

Mason, like the rest of the Titan passing game, has been downright miserable lately. He did have one 100-plus yard game, but was mediocre at best the other two contests.

Tennessee's schedule gets much more pass-friendly the rest of the way, but will McNair come around enough for Mason's stock to return to normal, or is it time to start looking at other options?>

I think you have to sit it out a little while longer. The Titans won't be this bad for long. When McNair gets back in the saddle, Mason will be his favorite target again and the numbers will start to increase. I just can't imagine the Titans staying in the doldrums for too long.

Mason and McNair are too good to play like he is now for the whole season. McNair may miss some time but I would still hold on to Mason.

You have to remember, too, that Calico will be back starting this week. Will Calico ultimately help or hurt Mason's chances at rebounding stat-wise this year?

I think Calico will help. With Brown running and Mason and Calico catching, the Titans will have a nicely balanced offense. I would not give up on any of them this early.

As for Calico, the Tennessean said Calico would play Sunday, but his time will be limited.

If Mason is going to be worth something, McNair will need to get much better. Mason won't do anything with McNair throwing a 100 yards a game. We will see what Volek does with Mason this week vs the Chargers.
