Alge Crumpler, who will be the Falcons’ starting tight end this season, elicited praise for his performance at throwing camp from head coach Dan Reeves on Tuesday. “Alge has shown he has receiving ability,” Reeves told the team’s web site, “and now we’re going to see if he holds up also as a blocker. He’s really improved in that area and I think he’s really improved as a route runner and he’s got great hands. He’s going to be someone teams are going to have to account for because we’re going to get the ball to him as much as we possibly can.”
With the coach’s confidence behind him and the Falcons’ promise to run more passing plays this season, we see Crumpler as one of the top tight end sleepers. You should be able to get him at great value in the later rounds of your draft.
