Athlon's ranking of Dillon...

Postby Warpigs » Fri Jun 20, 2003 2:09 pm

Athlon magazine, in it's 2003 predictions, ranked Corey Dillon as a top-6 back! He was ranked above players like Ahman Green, Marshall Faulk and other impressive players. You have to admit that Dillon's getting more notice this year than ever before! Do you think this is the year that he breaks out (plays consistently well game in and game out)? I'm starting to become a believer!

Count me in.
He's no more than a good backup as it stands now.

I can see him being ranked over A green (based on injury concerns not playing ability), but not Faulk. In my book he is a number 2 back at best.

on my list of RBs Corey is no higher then 11.

However, if he ever gets traded to a good team his value might rise a little, but still not any higher then 8.

I want to say he's a #1 back, but I still can't get that picture out of my head of him tripping up at the goalline....a FEW times last season! That's unacceptable. No way I'd rank him higher than 9.

How has he NOT proven himself???????

One of the only players in history to get 1000+ yards in his first 6 seasons.

With crappy systems.

If he got the same numbers, on lets say, Dallas or Green Bay, he would be a huge star.
And thats all I've got to say about that.
