I drafted Cpep last year and was VERY dissappointed in him...I know he's a talented QB, but with his only decent receiver being a headcase, it made for a very frustrating season for me. He had mediocre numbers all year...

But what I don't get is why is he still ranked as a top 10 QB? Top 5 in some places!!! I don't see how this year is going to be that much different..maybe I'm just stupid.

But what do you all think about Cpep?

Yeah he did have an off year last year and that was simply because of all the turnovers. He gets rid of those (which are correctable) and he'll put up huge #s. I think he'll rebound nicely this year so I took a shot and drafted him.

Some leagues have qbs getting double points for rushing tds. culpepper had 10 last year and that's big time. same reason why vick is rated so high. as stated already, if dante cuts down on the forced throws and fumbles, he's right there at the top o' the heap. He probably won't force as many throws if they avoid the "randy ratio" strategy and throw to the other receivers. Who knows, they might find a diamond in the rough.

Yeah rushing touchdowns for QB's give Vick, McNabb, CPep some advantages, I completely agree. If anyone picks him up, you just gotta pray he doesnt put up so many TO's.

Dont forget about that stupid "Randy Ratio". Pep had to force throws he did not want to make. No more of that crap this year.

Culpepper is good without a doubt. He is not as good as his numbers indicate though (was ranked 3rd overall QB in my keeper league last year). In many ways, he's like the Corey Dillon of QBs. 5 points one week, 40 the next...

I still think he's a top-5 QB though, because he finished strong and as others have said, high TO numbers is a problem many NFL QBs have corrected.
