They say doubtful, but I hear he practiced this week, then someone else told me that N.E. is good for lying about their injuries.
Can anyone give me some insight?
I dont get it
2 weeks ago they held branch out in the 2nd half, but said he was fine to play if needed.
last week they said he would be their this weekm, and now he is doubtful but practices most all week
What Gives?
The Patriots are ridiculously stacked at WR. Losing Branch for one week and allowing him to heal and possibly come back 100% next week or even close to that is the reasoning. They dont necessarily need him with Givens, Patten, B Johnson, another WR, Graham, another TE, and whoever else they let play.
Don't worry he may probably come back stronger later. But if you need him this week, sorry for you.

I think I was reading that Troy Brown is playing also.
NE is one of a handfull of teams that is very tight lipped on injuries. It has been hard getting any specifics on Branch's knee problem. Same thing is happening with K. Faulk, and has occured repeatedly with T. Brown.
Then Watson goes on IR for the year, with what sounded like a run of the mill knee injury.
I'd be wary of any injured NE player for the rest of the year...and stay away (trades) from Branch until more is known about his knee...

He doesn't appear to be playing, so bench seems like the best opton for him on your team at the moment...He'll come back in a week or two and be just like new, and NE won't have even noticed his missing presence...
