Which Fantasy Football Magazine is best?

Postby Warpigs » Thu Jun 26, 2003 2:26 pm

I always wind up getting many of the fantasy football preview magazines. The wait until the season always seems so long and I need something to fill the void. The rankings in these things are pretty bad at times, but taking them all together and noting the trends and similarities have helped me to build competitive teams. Which one magazine do you guys feel is the most accurate and helpful? I always seem to focus most on "Street and Smith" and "Athlon"....although the one just put out by Fanball is a neat read due to the various mock drafts.

I would have to agree with the majority and say Pro Football Weekly. It just seems like it has everything. My only knock on it is that I wish It focused more in depth on team offenses and defenses, but other than that it's my choice.

If it's fantasy news... I wanna read it... how I get it does not matter to me. To me, mags are great for lunch breaks, gridlock and other times when I'm not online. ;-D

In the past I have always bought several FF mags each season, like you said "just to fill the void" until the season starts. I must say that I don't really put a whole lot of faith in their ratings though, as I prefer to do my own player projections. That being said I still do have some favorites that I look for in the news stands. They are...

1. PFW Fantasy Football
1a. Fantasy Football Index
2. Lindy's Pro Football
3. Fantasy Baseball's Fantasy Football Special Edition

These 4 top my list, and to me offer the most complete information available in print form. However, now that I've found all the guys here at the Cafe', I'm sure that I will be even less dependant on mags to fill my pre-season fantasy fix! ;-D
