This guy makes the most mitaskes during the broadcast that I've ever heard in my life. And he's not calling out the wrong team name, wrong score, or wrong player, he's making totally pointless statements.
Oh, and I'm sure the Raiders could hook him up with a pretty nice nursing home.

It was funny. My wife was laying in bed with me and doesnt know a thing about football. When I walked into the ropom while the game was on she says to me "Who is this idiot announcer on the TV"

I loved Summerall back in the Tom Brookshier days (I'm really dating myself) and also into most of the Madden era. But he really is ready to be put out to pasture.
I don't know which in-game network promo I found it funnier to hear him say over the years -- 1) With CBS, his 2-second pause between "Murder .... She Wrote", or 2) With FOX, having to say things like "Tonight on a very special Martin, Gina tells Martin she won't be doing the nasty."
... in my opinion, of course - but that should always go without saying.

Only 3 leagues this year. No sense in rooting for everyone in the NFL.
Summerall sounds better during the day. Possible reasons:
- He's got a comfortable sounding voice, like listening to golf or a rain delay
- ESPN or FOX graphic & noise heavy broadcasts aren't a good fit for Pat
- During day games, Pat hasn't partaken in too many "refreshments"
Don't get me wrong, I loved Summerall/Madden. Except for one time when things got too gay when they were both raving about seeing Niners RB "Roger Craig in the locker room with no clothes on. Let me tell you something, he's chiseled."

or when madden saw TO in his under armour and says "LOOK AT THAT BODY!" that was nasty. but back to summerall, he is a complete tool and Im so glad dan patrick is coming back.
