WHY AM I LOSING WITH THIS TEAM???????

Postby IggleMan78 » Mon Oct 04, 2004 8:51 am

i assume this is the right forum to ask this in. I am (i think) about to go 2-2. I have priest playing tonight but my opponent has the Bal D. I am currently ahead 30-29 in points.

Is there something wrong with this team

my roster:
qb - pennington, plummer
wr - owens, djax, roy williams, stallwoth, mccareins
rb - priest, alex, brown, suggs
te - lj smith, f jones
def - denver
k - brien

Looks like a pretty stacked team to me. How big is this league? If you say more than 6 teams then you'll be fine...

You look ok for your team. Just a bad first few weeks. Give it some time, you should come out fine at the end of the year.
Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?

it's a 10 team league. I am about to lose to a guy whose starting WR this week were Driver, Fitz and Randle El - this is just crazy. It's just crazy

Don't panic. Things will even themselves out over the season. Bad performances, and bad matchups I would think. I started 1-5 in a $$-league last year, and won it.
Very SOLID team, patience...
Oh yeah, I noticed in another thread that you're thinking of trading Suggs. I'd hold off, as I think his value will increase.

I'm no longer thinkng of the Suggs TRade - now I'm thinking of offering priest/djax for Westbrook and Harrison. ;-D
Anyone that wants to call that crazy can just go to the draft, trade forum and call me crazy - i don't mind. Actually I probably won't offer the trade, but it's a possibility.

What's that you told me about not panicking (lol).

Are you in a traditional scoring system? There has to be something else...that is about as stacked as you can get in a Ten team unless you had manning, Bulger, Culpepper, McNabb, or Hasselbeck for a QB.

Just be patient, play the matchups, things will work themselves out. All you need to do is make the playoffs.....then it is a whole new season.
