Happily picked up Jets D last week... are they for real?

Postby Crafty » Mon Oct 04, 2004 1:36 pm

Like alot of people, I picked up the Jets in FA just so they could play Miami. The points they got equals my margin of victory, so I'm stoked. Are they going to produce down the stretch, or should I just be happy and move on? Also picked up the Jags last week.

Be happy and move on. Whoever has played MIA in each of the first 4 weeks has finished in the top 5 for defensive fantasy points that week.

I wouldn't trust the Jets run D against very many other teams...

IMO, they are not a good play until they face Miami again...

What about next week against the Bills, with bledsoe in there their offense is third last in the league. Looks like the jets could be a solid start against them.

Nope. Their weak spot is against the run... If Leonard Henry can put up nearly 100, just think about what Travis Henry can do? Not to mention McGahee....

Their run defense is actually much better this year than last, it's their pass defense that seems to be in need of a tune up now. Even last year, they were one of the top sacking teams in the NFL so they will get you points there. If they can throw in a few TOs and the offensive running game can keep it up, they may very well be a decent starting defense.

You can do worse than the Jets vs. Bills fantasy wise, just don't expect a repeat performance of last week.

Typical blowhard with no clue.

Henry had 1 run of 58 yds,that he shouldn't have had... 84-58= 34yds.

the Jets D is for real and we can shut down henry, just like we did RUDI & LT .

BTW,how are all those former Jets looking? :-t

They have Miami at least one more game this year right? I have a free roster spot and will hold onto them
