Moe Williams, questionable with a calf strain, left Minnesota practice Monday with a protective boot on.
Williams would be the starting running back and main beneficiary of Michael Bennett and Onterrio Smith's troubles - if he could stay healthy. Since that hasn't happened yet this season, Moe's owners can only watch and hope. They won't make a decision on his availability until later this week. Oct. 5 - 8:53 am et
The Vikings are preparing rookie Mewelde Moore to start on Sunday.
With Onterrio Smith and Michael Bennett out and Moe Williams ailing, Minnesota doesn't have any choice. But his fourth-round pick should fill in just fine whether Williams can play or not. He had a few big games in the preseason and is a smart runner with excellent receiving skills. Grab him in all leagues and you may get a cheap start or two. Oct. 5 - 8:51 am et
