Is Travis Henry about the same as Fred Taylor?

Postby Ben_ffc » Mon Oct 04, 2004 5:57 pm

rotoworld.com:

Fred Taylor could lose his job in short-yardage situations for Jacksonville.
Taylor was stuffed on at least three critical short-yardage situations on Sunday. Jacksonville will likely look to second-round pick Greg Jones. Jones only has a smidgen of fantasy value as a vulture. But Taylor, who already is losing third-down snaps, is set up for a drop in fantasy value this season. Oct. 4 - 2:52 pm et

I'm also curious about this as I've a good team (read: Championship) and I can't afford to continue getting lackluster production out of my #2 RB.

With all the news about Fred losing more touches, the offense working out of the shotgun more and Pearson out for the season, I'm starting to get the itchy trigger finger when it comes to dealing.

Henry probably would have already lost his job in short-yardage situations... except that the Bills have yet to be in a short-yardage situation this season.

interesting question to me, though, because mcgahee is not getting touches. all the talk has been of henry losing chances, and taylor being the great buy-low candidate.

this information would suggest otherwise.

I still like Taylor... he is a better back, in my opinion. I don't know about TDs though... but at least Taylor will still be the yardage whore he always has been. My guess: Fred Taylor has the same fantasy value as Duce Staley... he'll get all the yards, and Greggy Boy will be the Bus...
