Charlotte Observer (10/5) :

Carolina running back Stephen Davis is planning to practice Wednesday, a move that could enable him to return to the starting lineup when the Panthers play at Denver on Sunday.

Asked about a possible Wednesday return, Davis said Monday, "That's my plan. To get out there and see how it feels and hopefully, we won't have any setbacks."

Davis has been out since having knee surgery Sept. 17 to repair cartilage.

"I don't want to rush it," he said. "I've just got to do whatever I can to go out there and practice on Wednesday and see how I feel then."

We should know a little more tommorow.
