PICK UP CHESTER TAYLOR QUICK IF HE'S AVAILABLE!

Postby benm3218 » Tue Oct 05, 2004 1:09 pm

Jamal Lewis - RB, Baltimore Ravens
Oct. 5, 12:52 p.m.

Lewis has agreed to plead guilty in his federal drug conspiracy case Thursday, an aide to the presiding judge said Tuesday.
Fantasy Source spin: Now we'll have to wait and see what punishment the NFL will hand down, though Lewis is expected to be suspended for at least two games. Chester Taylor's value skyrockets.

i never understood why people thought musa would get any carries. Chester has been doing all the work so far, so my guess is musa will be a non-factor with lewis out. If musa was going to get ANY carries, he would've gotten the ball more than he has.

I still don't know how they can justify a suspension considering he hadn't even signed an NFL deal at the time. I expect an appeal battle.

If I am not mistaken, didn't he limp off the field last night? Was his injury serious? Something to know for sure before you rush to pick up Chester.

don't own lewis, so not biased. but if a suspension comes down, it could be delayed weeks, if not months by appeals...ala O. Smith. Players Assn is also questioning whether Lewis can be suspended for an action/crime that occured b4 he was in the NFL. This could drag on for awhile

Not an owner either, but I've been monitoring pretty good.
Difference between O.Smith is quite significant.(dealing etc. compared to using) Lewis could get suspended and it would take effect immediatelly no appeals.
