The value of a kick returner?

Postby Warpigs » Tue Jul 01, 2003 11:18 am

A friend of mine, who heads up our league on Yahoo, is considering adding a new position to the fray this year. He wants to add a specific "kick returner" position, thinking that it will be the difference on various weeks this year. I think it may only add extra confusion, especially since many in our league aren't exactly die hard fantasy players. If we do wind up adding a kick returner position, who are some of the big names I should be focusing on in our draft later this month?

Take it to a vote and say 'no thanks.'

Look at the players who made the pro bowl as returners.

i probably wouldnt go with the idea but the top returners might be;
T Dwight
S. Moss
A. Randle El
and possible sleepers
another possibility for your league could be not creating a different position in your league but giving points for return yards and scores. of course not on the same scale as recievers or runners, but to a lesser degree.

u should just give points for kr yards and tds instead of making a whole new position. if u do that, which i dont think is such a bad idea, four guys to really target are santana moss, steve smith, antwaan randel-el, and dante hall, in that order. smith is always the forgotten man in these types of league, and i think he could really light it up next year.

some other top returners who may not be involved so much in the offense are chad morton, michael lewis, tim dwight, and the ageless brian mitchell (if he ends up the returner in new york... not sure about that)
