With Simms being named the starter

Does this boost Claytons value a bit more? I know Simms always looks Claytons way and it seems as if they have a nice connection. I have him sitting on my bench and would like to know if now is the time to start him at the flex spot.

in my work league we give 1 pt per reception. 20 yds per 1 pt, and 6 pt td's. Clayton is the 22nd best WR in total points and 26th in pts per game avg. thats a low 2nd and high 3rd WR right there in a 12 team league. I've already started him atleast once already this year and plan to do so in the future.

as to whether or not you should start him at your flex spot depends on your team, and who you have playing next week and their matchups. no way for us to be able to tell you on no information.

with that scoring system, this is the rankings of each of your WR's

Andre -- forgot to look not in question
Calyton -- 5.5 ppg
Carter -- 4.5 ppg
Toomer -- 4.3 ppg
Larry Fitz -- 3.4 ppg

Since Andre is your clear #1 we wont regard him in this matter.
The point seperation between your #2 and your #5 Wr is big whopping 2.1 pts. So given that it probably wont hurt you too much, you could decide for yourself who your true #2 and #3 WR is at this point based on that weeks given matchup etc. For instance, Larry Fitz plays the Niners this week. He could do well maybe. Its all a guessing game so go with your gut.

What you really wanted to know however is if if would be good to start Clayton at your Flex. From your roster, given that Eddie George is your only other RB, you would be comparing him. Eddie has scored 11+ and 7+ points in your league the past two games. However, only getting 1.something the first week is kinda scary. Dallas also plays NY Giants this week. NY D is averaging 113.5 yards on the ground and a 4.7 ypc. However, they have not allowed a single rushing TD to date. So its hard to say right now who you should use in your flex. I hope this little bit of information helps you a little, but in the end its always best to go with your guy feeling after you have acquired some statistical information.
