how to explain to this guy?

ok so my team is off to a bad start and I want to shake it up. Im trying to get this guy to trade me moss, offering guys like fred taylor and santana, which I think is really fair. so anyways he gives me this weird reason and I cant seem to explain o him. he says he doesnt want two players doing the wokr of one? something like moss scores almost as much as those guys. somebody help me get through to him!

You're gonna have to explain to me first why anyone would give up R. Moss for F. Taylor and S. Moss. What is his roster like?

Edit: Earlier in the year, I could see this happening, but now? Santana hasn't done anything and Taylor is on the verge of losing his goal line carries.

His real reason is that he doesn't want to give up Randy Moss because he's doing really freaking good this year and always scores a ton of points.

Randy's one of those guys that is dang-near untradable for unless you give up a stud RB. Someone spent their first pick on him for a reason, and it's either that he didn't get a stud RB or he's their favorite player and took him early. When he gets two TD's a game every week, it's hard to let him go anyway!

You're right - it's an even deal (if Taylor and Santana are performing "normally"), but the person probably doesn't want to have to sweat out two people possibly not scoring well when he can have Randy and what he believes is a sure-fire TD and decent yardage every game.

it real;ly depensd on his situaltion, but if he is not is need of a RB ( mabee using someone like staley as a #2) then i dont see why he would do it. Moss is having a great years, and there is not really muhch of a reason for him to think that this will stop

the taylor/santana deal was made a couple weeks ago you tools. That was just an example. I think you guys are suffering from the same thing as him, too much emphasis early in the season.

and I didnt ask whether it was a valid deal, I asked about his reasoning.

Like I said: At the beginning of the season this trade was do-able, but now it isn't.
Also, try to be a little more clear with your posts. Did we all mis-interprit your first post, or did you just butcher it.

Note: Your first post was written in the present tense, hence our assumption that the trade was current.
Given we assumed it was current, it seemed like you were trying to sell off your busts for a hot player.
If you already pulled off that trade, though, nice going.
