Ok, just have to share this scoop with me fellow ff addicts.

But I heard an hour ago from *ahem* a friend of friend of the Lewis family that the NFL posturing is just that, posturing. The decision has already been made. The NFL doesn't want to get in a court battle with the Players Association (which they most likely would lose), *however* Jamal will still be under NFL contract whilst serving time. IOW, he won't be getting a fine. He will though be receiving a 2 game suspension.

Does this mean he is gonna be suspended 2 games and he has agreed not to appeal the suspension. Will he be playing this weekend????

Who knows what will happen. There is so much speculation as to how many games, if any, he will be suspended, if the NFL can or should even do that to someone who committed the crime before they were in the league, and if Lewis would appeal that.

I heard on espn that Lewis said he would not appeal any suspension he recieves from the league.

Apparently, the NFL equates a 4-month prison stretch with a 2-game suspension; isn't that the same penalty for a TD dance?

you may call me biased because i don't have him on any of my teams....but 2 games doesn't sound like enough.
