The Garcia-Owens combo looks very tempting, but I'd go with a RB with the 5th pick, then hope that Garcia is still around at 8, and pick another rb at 12.

Dillon might be the RB who drops to the 12th pick, I'd go with Tomlinson or Martin with the 5th pick, get Garcia at 8 and hope for Dillon to be around at 12.

owens, garcia, martin, and dillon sounds like the start of a pretty darn good team to me... ;-D

I'd take Garcia with that 5th pick...he is definitely a top 5 selection (of course it depends on your scoring system, but...). I'd be very surprised to see him still available at #8. At 8 I'd take Dillon...the Bengals would be nowhere without him (Kitna and/or Frerotte are not the answer to their passing woes). Martin or Tomlinsom would be good picks at 12....Martin is one of those consistent, durable performers year in and year out, you would't be disappointed taking him. Somehow he always seems to fly under everybody's radar on draft day, but come the end of the season his fantasy statistics never disappoint. Avoid Stephen Davis, at least with a 1st or 2nd round pick...I anticipate he'll be lucky to get 20 carries per game with the new passing attack that Spurrier has installed in Washington....he'd be a solid bench player though.

You mentioned something very interesting: Two or three years ago I started in a full keeper league with 12 teams and had the 10th pick and the 15th.

I picked Duce Staley first, because I knew Martin would still be left for my next pick but not Staley. Martin often drops out of the top ten and deep into the second round, so if you have to grab that stud QB in the first round watch for Martin in the second.
