Droughns only averages 2.8 yards a carry the last 3 years in Denvers offense. 20 carries for 55 yards,thats horrible. NO way he gets the most touches Sun. Shanny would love to see what he drafted in Bell.Bell should get the most touches.And if he preforms well the job will be his IMO.Bell will bust his butt trying to capitalize on Griffins ankle injury,and give it 110% on Sun. he wants the starting job,and this is his golden opprotunity.now that he's healthy enough to play.Bell owners will prevail !!!! finally

it is part true.. griffin did leave practice.. because shanny wanted to rest him.. and his ankle got stiff.. shanny then said he feels he is 90% ready to go. and the decision will be gametime

Griffin remains questionable for Carolina game

DENVER - The status of Denver Broncos running back Quentin Griffin for Sunday's game against Carolina remained questionable Friday after a cameo appearance at practice.

"He practiced a little bit, it (left ankle) got a little bit sore so we kept him out the rest of practice," coach Mike Shanahan said. "So it will be a game-time decision."

Griffin had missed two previous days of practices.

"The good part about it you could see he could still run," Shanahan said. "But he can't cut 100 percent right now."

If Griffin is unable to go, Shanahan can choose between Reuben Droughns, Tatum Bell and Garrison Hearst to start against the Panthers.
