I drafted Stephen Davis in the second round of my 16 team league (27th overall). Tiki Barber was still available in the 5th round....go figure. Do you guys think that he can be the Stephen Davis of old for the remainder of the season or will he be feeling the effects of his injury AND Deshaun Foster?

It may be RBBC, but Davis is head of the committee! Deshaun has proven that he can't run between the tackles. Running between the tackles is exactly what John Fox wants to do. I believe Davis will get 100+ yards vs. Denver.
Uhmmm, LT2 could only put up 85 yds against the Broncos at Denver. What makes you think the 30 years old, coming off an injury, splitting carries with D. Foster, Stephen Davis will even come close to 100yds?

Dude, DeShaun is averaging 150 total yards and a TD a game. I can't see how you can bench him, especially if Foster continues to play like this, he will be the head of the committe. This has Rudi Johnson/Corey Dillon written all over it.
Davis will not be a factor this week. Foster looks better all-around, an will share time. I couldn't be happier beacause my opponent is starting Davis!!
The game Foster played in week 2 was against KC, and that was B4 they decided they would just stack the box..
At that point in time KC was a HS run defense ( remember Q shredding them inb game 1... he's done jack since), that got pounded. -32/174 ( he had a monster run of 71 yds, and had 103 yds on 31 carries besides)
Game4 was against a good run D in Atlanta, and he was nowhere near as effective. 19/51
I don't think he is bad or a real stud, I personally think he is a good back who has some explosiveness, especially against weak run defenses.
Davis will get his shot, maybe not really this week though.

Don't blame us if your players stink the place up....You got our OPINION, your not paying any money for advice!!
If your new guy gets injured.. it happens, and not part of the equation beforehand.
Good Luck, and Thanks for being reasonable.

Foster also put up like 170 yards last playoffs, and he's show this year that wasn't a fluke. Davis is saying he's back more then Fox is, and I think it's mostly due to the fact Foster has been pretty good.
Bottom line is Foster will get 8-10 carries a game regardless, and if Davis is struggling I wouldn't be surprised to see Foster get 18-20 carries. If Davis is your stud RB, then this isn't a good spot to be in. You never want your studs backup to run for 160 yds when he misses a game. *lol*
I wouldn't look for Davis to repeat last year's numbers (even factoring the lost games). Carolina has completely revamped the offense to reflect the loss of much of that drive-blocking line and to unleash Delhomme, who they feel is ready to take another step up. (Jake did throw for 300+ last week, even though he didn't get into the end zone)
Foster's a better fit in a more pass-oriented game and provides speed that Davis can't.
The two will share carries, but best case: Davis finds himself starting and getting the bulk of totes when the Panthers are trying to salt away a lead but giving up third-down and come-from-behind looks. Worst case: he becomes a short-yardage specialist.
