I wouldn't look for Davis to repeat last year's numbers (even factoring the lost games). Carolina has completely revamped the offense to reflect the loss of much of that drive-blocking line and to unleash Delhomme, who they feel is ready to take another step up. (Jake did throw for 300+ last week, even though he didn't get into the end zone)
Foster's a better fit in a more pass-oriented game and provides speed that Davis can't.
Davis is the starter and will get the bulk of the carries. The Panthers aren't trying to "revamp" their offense! They have had to adapt their offense due to Davis' absence. John Fox will use Stephen Davis in the same capacity he did when they were NFC CHAMPIONS. Here is a quote from the Charlotte Observer:
The Charlotte Observer reports Davis practiced for the third straight day Friday and afterward said he felt "great." It's unclear how the Panthers will distribute playing time between him and DeShaun Foster vs. the Broncos, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Davis get as much work as Foster, if not more.
Stephen Davis will run for 100+ yards this week. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!
