I wouldn't look for Davis to repeat last year's numbers (even factoring the lost games). Carolina has completely revamped the offense to reflect the loss of much of that drive-blocking line and to unleash Delhomme, who they feel is ready to take another step up. (Jake did throw for 300+ last week, even though he didn't get into the end zone) Foster's a better fit in a more pass-oriented game and provides speed that Davis can't.
Davis is the starter and will get the bulk of the carries. The Panthers aren't trying to "revamp" their offense! They have had to adapt their offense due to Davis' absence. John Fox will use Stephen Davis in the same capacity he did when they were NFC CHAMPIONS. Here is a quote from the Charlotte Observer:
The Charlotte Observer reports Davis practiced for the third straight day Friday and afterward said he felt "great." It's unclear how the Panthers will distribute playing time between him and DeShaun Foster vs. the Broncos, but it wouldn't be surprising to see Davis get as much work as Foster, if not more.
Stephen Davis will run for 100+ yards this week. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!
Uhmmm, LT2 could only put up 85 yds against the Broncos at Denver. What makes you think the 30 years old, coming off an injury, splitting carries with D. Foster, Stephen Davis will even come close to 100yds?
Stephen Davis will be playing with an extra shot of adrenaline on Sunday. In his mind, he HAS to have a great game. As long as his knee holds up, and it will, he will run right through Denver's defense. He has inspired his O-line to have a great performance. Carolina should win by 2 touchdowns. Check back with me on Sunday night. You will see.

I have to agree with chchelse on this one...
SD won't be able to get 100 splitting carries against a strong Denver defense. I would imagine even Delhomme to Colbert will be shut dowm... given Denver's improved pass D and Carolina lacking at receiver. They'll likely put more men in the box... Davis getting 70 would be a pleasant surprise. No way is he getting 100.
lol Davis rushing for 100.....eh eh not gonna happen.
I'm a cynical Carolina fan, yes, but also a realist. The man's recovering from injury, and we don't have our main threat on O....you remember Steve Smith? Ya he's out til week 15. See how much Delhomme struggled against ATL with no big deep threat? There is little to no balance on our team right now. Smith created a nice balance...that's gone.
Denver will be smart to put 8 in the box to easily shutdown Davis. Because our air attack WON'T get it done - esp with Bailey out there.

Maybe next week, eh?
Maybe so, especially if it is true with respect to what some on here have reported, i.e. Foster has a broken clavicle!
