Who's your pick?

Postby Absoluterain » Sat Oct 09, 2004 1:52 am

Who do you think are the top 2 or 3 players that are under performing right now and could be traded for cheaper than their true value? But will come on strong as the season progresses?

Santana Moss. Someone's eventually going to have to catch balls from the WR spot when they start throwing it there.

Fred Taylor. I'd like to get Freddy on my team if I had to.

Trent Green. Still cheap. Still good. Still has Gonzo and Priest for flat catches and screens.

Darkhorse: Kerry Collins. If you're desperate for a QB why the hell not?

I agree that the KC O needs to be given some attention now that many fantasy owners are probably low on the Chiefs.

If you can steal Gonzo or Green from someone, go for it now.

Keep an eye on the MN RB situation.

I just traded for S. Moss. I think he's due (and Pennigton has said as much in interviews this week).

Another buy low candidate right now is McNair. I really think he's gotta rebound (then again, a lot of people said that about last year's reigning MVP -- Rich Gannon. He never quite turned it around).

Travis Henry is another one. It seems as though he's held off McGahee in BUF. He'll get his TD's, just wait.

If you're shooting a little higher, I might go with Ahman Green and Clinton Portis. Don't get me wrong -- both will still come with a steep price tag, but both are on the block in my leagues (whereas before, many people regarded these two top 5 picks as somewhat untouchable). In fact, I acquired Ahman this week in one of my leagues.

If you get a chance, I'd appreciate your help.

As an owner of both gentlemen, Travis Henry and Fred Taylor. History dictates that the two of them will break out of whatever funk they're in to score TDs and have a few 100 yd games once their offenses figure out just who they are.

Lavernaues Coles, if Gibbs can again get the Redskins offense an identity and some level of consistency.

Michael Vick. I'm not a fan of his at all, but I know many people think he is a top 5 QB. While I don't agree, he is capable of putting up better #'s than he has and he will, especially this week vs. Detroit.
