I do one of each, and personally I've always been partial to an overall points league -- although both are great. I've had super huge teams that have fallen short in head-to-head leagues due to fluke weeks, injuries, or players being held out to avoid injury before the playoffs. And I've had decent teams win due to the same scenarios. In overall leagues the best teams generally win the overall title. And they can still be very exciting.

I wouldn't base my decision to join or not join on the type of league it was though. The owners involved are what it is all about.

Head-To-Head.
It's a LOT more fun, and a LOT more like REAL football.
A points (rotisserie) league is just stats, stats, stats, points, points, points, and, in the end, unless you're an accountant, B.O.R.I.N.G.
My 2 cents, anyway.

head to head is the best. The feeling of losing to the highest scoring team of the week when having the 2nd highest score of the week is unmatched.

Definitely Head to Head. There is a reason that the NFl doesnt just add up your points scored at the end of the year. Its great that each week you need to only worry about your startes and the team your up against.

I like Head to head. Also opens the door for more trash talking. :- B-)

It also keeps weaker teams in the competition longer. A weak team will rarely be anywhere near the top of the weekly point totals, and may start dumping his roster in late October. In head-to-head, there is always a possibility of catching your opponent on a bad week and getting back into it, and not dumping their team until late November. :-]
