In one of my leagues, I wrote off week 5 pre-season. After all, Donovan McNabb, Priest Holmes, Chad Johnson and Tony Gonzalez would all have the week off. Vanderjagt got injured to make matters worse. All I wanted to do was field a team that wouldn't totally embarass me. So with a little fiddling on the waiver wire and dredging the depths of my bench, I was forced to run with:

QB: David Carr
WR: Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Darrell Jackson
RB: Tiki Barber, Mewelde Moore
TE: Eric Johnson
K: Kris Brown
DEF: Baltimore

Thus proving the old saw "it's better to be lucky than good"...

Benching Larry Fitzgerald in favour of Jerry Porter. I just knew the Raiders would light up the Colts secondary. Yet another blunder on my march towards 0-5...

Played Pinner instead, so at least I got a td.
