Crumpler or Gates...who's the man going forward?

I have both. Crumpler is usually a safe bet to start, but Vick seems to be hogging the ball more and more.

On the other hand, Gates is stepping up and Brees seems to really like throwing to him.

Do you all think this makes Gates a more attractive starting option in future weeks?

I would love to say Crumpler (I have him in one league), but I think the smart money is on Gates right now.

gates easy.. hes getting way more looks than anyone at the TE spot.

Yeah Gates is the easy pick. Vick just isn't a passing quaterback at this point in his career. 2 games and no throwing or rushing TDs, not exactly good for his WR options.

Gates...he is a great outlet for Brees since his WR are belwo avg.

Agreed. I picked up Gates week 2... haven't been upset yet. He gets the most looks for a TE, maybe shy of Gonz...

21 points for a tight end isn't bad. That, and my boy Brees is throwing the ball a lot better these days. Too bad he's being traded/released at season's end.

Which also means, is Gates going to be as good next year? Rivers might not look give Gates as many looks as Brees. But my guess is that he will... he's a very accurate passer, and likes to mix it up with long and short routes. So keeper league owners... grab Gates if you can. He's got a promising career (barring injury) ahead of him.

Definitely Gates. Brees always looks his way first.

I would try and deal Crumpler if I were you, otherwise you're probably gonna end up trying to play matchups with 2 good players, and of course as we all know, when that happens you'll end up benching the guy with big numbers too many times.

Pick one, deal the other.

Played Crumpler this week and crapped my pants when I saw Gates sitting on my bench with 2 Tds.

Definitly Gates, although Crumpler is a proven TE... Gates is a rising stud and will surpass crumpler.
