i would probably rate the top te's right now like;

1) e johnson
2) gates
3) graham
4) gonzo
5) crumpler

so i would go with gates over crumpler.

i have crumpler and wish i had gates. maybe if crumpler had a decent qb, rather than over-rated vick, he could consistently put up good numbers.

I had Gates, and I dropped him....

I the picked up Crumpler, but I just dropped him for Johnson.

Crumpler has too much value to drop. Add Eric Johnson and either sell Eric high or trade away crumpler

If that is your only option, but I'd see if you could find someone else to drop then trade Crumpler. Johnson is a top 3 TE though.
