0-5 comebacks

Postby klvrdude » Mon Oct 11, 2004 11:18 pm

I have had the misfortune of playing people when they have their best weeks. For instance this week my opponent had Culpepper, An. Johnson, A. Gates, Baltimore, etc.

Has anybody ever come back from an 0-5 start to make the playoffs? Anybody?

depends on your playoff format....how many teams are there? what rank do you have to be in order to go to the playoffs?

Not quite. In '99 I started 0-6 and finished 5-6-2, missing the playoffs by 1 win.

im in the same situation...each of my leagues has the top 8 make an 8-person playoff

in my 10 team league im 2-3
in my 12 team league im 0-5
in my 14 team league im 1-4

i honestly havent given up in any and neither should you...i figure top 8 isnt hard to get if i get a hot streak...if it's top 4, then its a different story

ps - im not a fantasy football scrub, i just play one on the cafe ;-D

i'm in the same boat you are my man. 0-5 in a 10 te4am league which only allows 4 playoff teams. On paper my team should be 5-0, but I was bitten by the curse of the #1 draft choice. In my league there's $20 payouts each week for highest points scored, so at least i have something to shoot for. With Priest, Moss, Rudi, Dunn, Boldin, McNair, LJ smith, chris brown (k), & jets d. I can hopefully capture a highest point tally once or twice and if not make a bounce back to the playoffs, play spoiler.

Right now im 5-0 in first place in a 12 man league that cost 100$ to enter. I shouldn't of won this week but the titan's pulled threw for me. I had C. Brown and Bennett. Even with Browns awsome proformance i should of lost. It was for that Lateral to Bennett and the Pass to Mason in the endzone that Bennett got major points for the touchdown points. Squeeze out of week 5 by 2 points. :-o

My team started 0-5 last year. 10 team league 2 divisions 2 teams from each division make the playoffs.

I made the playoffs, won the superbowl and ended up winning the total points crown as well.

It can be done but it is hard.

Last year I lost 5 in a row, made the playoffs, and ended up in the Championship game. (in a 12-team league) But I needed a tie breaker to get into the playoffs. It can be done, unless you're losing because your team sucks, which doesn't sound like the case with you.

Good Luck!
