The attorney for Ricky Williams said Monday he believes Williams will be cleared to return to the NFL this year, clearing the way for talks with the Dolphins, according to the Miami Herald. David Cornwell, who represents Williams and spent five years working for the NFL, said he e-mailed a request Sunday to meet with the league this week to make the formal request that Williams be reinstated. "I don't want to present the case for him to be reinstated through the media, but I believe he can return without suffering suspension," Cornwell said.

I just don't know... I figure he at LEAST has to do the 4 games, and I really can't imagine him playing for Miami again... When's the trading deadline?

BUT if there's a chance he could be traded, and play during the final 4 weeks, that'd be a huge boost to playoff teams.

does anyone really think miami would take him back and start him even if he could. I think they have lost total respect for someone like this, but look where they are!!!

Attorneys are supposed to convince you that you are going to win. If they told him that he had no chance, he wouldn't pay the lawyer to argue the case.

Ricky will not play this year.

I just dont see him getting around some sort of suspension. His attorney does make make that call the NFL does and I personally would be surprised if he plays this year at all.

I don't care. I'm taking a flier on him. I can afford the spot and it can't hurt.

Foolish! Go pick up Barry Sanders too! He might un-retire!

Maybe pick up John Riggins too, because white RBs can succeed!

Very low risk/cost - high reward potential. This is part of what being a ff gm is about.
