I certainly agree by the letter of the nfl laws, there's no chance; he has the 4 games + one year via the automatic violoation. But once you get lawyers + player unions involved, stranger things have happened.

The real news here is that it looks like sir-smokes-a-lot is actually trying to play this year(or at least to not have to pay the phins). The ball is now officially in motion...

I wouldn't bet money on either. There's also doubt that Ricky can get back into game-shape in time. But I also think the NFL will do what is best for the T.V. ratings and allowing Ricky to return is money in their pocket. So that's why I'll take a flier. If there was something of real value on the WW I'd take that instead but there isn't. Like I said it can't hurt.
