Barry, will he be back?

Will Barry Sanders ever come back and play football again? What do you think? He seems like a heck of a sleeper running back if he ever plays again.

Chris Mortenson had some "doings" with Barry Sanders recently and after the meeting Mort basically said don't hold your breathe, it ain't happenin'.

For the record, if it would happen (see above) he would still be the property of the Detroit Lions.

It's too bad he isn't coming back, and I don't mean for fantasy football players. It was amazing to just watch Barry juke and make his moves. He could pop a long run at any time.

Why does this come out every year? I mean one or maybe two seasons afterwards he could have come back, but now he's been out so long it would be an embarrassment to come back. I mean everyone knows its impossible to take a year or so off and come back and dominate again, even Jordan couldn't do that - err - wait he did do that

No. :~(
This from one HUGE Barry Sanders fan.

PS: Did you see the Barry interview just the other night? ESPN or Fox. Don't remember which. Asked the same question. Barry looked like he'd been on some serious medication. Barely lucid. Breaks my heart.

He won't and I'm glad for that. I'd rather have the memories of what he was than see him like Emmitt Smith playing for short gains way past his prime. Too bad more athletes like him don't go out on top.
It's time to roll the dice!

Going out on top would have been Barry playing another season and breaking the rushing record. A superbowl would'nt have hurt either, but hten again we're talking about the Lions.
