Culpepper for Bulger Trade...What?!

Postby therealblackdaddy » Thu Oct 14, 2004 5:56 pm

Hey folks,

I could really use your feedback on this one (will be more than happy to return the favor). I'm no hater and I'm ranked 2nd in this league...so far, but the commish has offered the following trade to a bottom tier team, which is currently pending in our league.

Victim gets (doesn't even own a Denver RB)
M. Bulger
R. Droughns

Commish gets
Culpepper

Is this a bs trade or am I trippin? :-t

If Droughs becomes Denver's feature back, the Droughns/Bulger side could easily "win the trade" Would I trade CPepp for that? No, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't go through.

Of course I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't protest trades because you think they're unfair, you should only protest them if you think there's collusion. If you're worried about protecting owners from unfair trades, you should join a more competitive/veteran league... Just my opinion.

I'd be pretty pissed off at that, but there's nothing you can do I guess.

Do either parties have a negative history?

I have to agree with 9erfan. If there is no collusion, then there should be no room to protest. Based on what I've seen here, there are "bad" trades all the time. For me, it's tought to make a call without seeing both rosters.

I happened to make a trade where I got A. Green for B. Westbrook and R. Wayne. You should have heard all of the screaming that went on. In that move, I was able to benefit from a team that had no receivers whatsoever due to injury. But, so far, who has the short end of the stick? Yep, me.

Protest. If your protest is ignored, demand your money back. If it's not given immediately, sue the bastard for 50 bucks. I'd do it dammit.

yeah i got cpep for steve smith and aaron brooks in the preseason...i didn't even know the guy

THe guy's probably making a gamble trying to shake things up and get out of the basement. Of course, it does depend who his running backs are. But he probably has a hunch that droughns will be the man in denver (or that cpep can't possibly keep this up since hes on pace for 5000 yards and 53 tds, and thats just the passing part) The guy i traded with had a hunch too. Unfortunately for him, he was dead wrong, but no cheating was involved.
