10.14 Thursday - TomKowalski: Kevin Jones update ... jones practiced today and looked pretty good ... they have to make sure there isn't a setback tomorrow (excessive swelling, pain, etc.) but it looks like he'll be in the lineup sunday ... williams didn't practice again, but i still think he'll play sunday ... schlesinger and goodman are probably out ... schlesinger could probably play, but the lions don't want to risk aggravating it and having him out longer ...
I read that Jones participated in individual drills but was held out of team drills. I don't think they will work him very much if at all in the game Sunday.
I currently have Hakim as a bye week plugin, if Williams is able to start and stay healthy, what kind of performance could I expect out of Hakim, anything? I am considering adding the Vikings' Wiggins at the WR/TE slot instead. Thoughts?

Not to be blunt but I would rather start my kicker at WR then Hakim. That guy stinks on ice.
Kevin Jones, questionable with an ankle injury, practiced in full pads on Thursday.
Coach Mariucci sounded hopeful Jones could play. "Kevin got more work today than he’s had in a month. We’ll see if he’s sore or swollen." All those Artose Pinner owners out there beware.
I have a hard time believing they will give KJones significant carries this Sunday. Pinner has looked good enough and rushing KJones back after missing so much time would probably be a mistake.
Last week Detroit beat ATL with both of the rookies out (Roy got injured relatively early), so I dont know why they would try and push either of them into action before they are ready.
I'm in the same boat. Driver and Caldwell are both available on waiver wire. I was thinking of sitting ROY and picking one of them up if no definite word
