over politics (you thought this was gonna be about hot women huh?)

And that's...okay. I guess.

But I know for a fact (and I'm sure there have been indiscretions from my Democratic brothers) that in this local voting district, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a Kerry/Edwards yard sign for the last 2 weeks because some ahole, or group of aholes (anui?) stole them all.

And now, the report that some RNC funded orginization deliberately misrepresenting itself as "bipartisan", or unaffiliated as it were, is assisting voters with their registration materials.

If you're Republican, you get assistance with filling it out.

If you're Democrat, it's destroyed.

What the F???

Where are people getting the idea that this is at ALL tolerable? HOLY HELL I can't think of few things more egregious than this. Undeniably despicable.

Here's good reading:

Yeah, that would be really wrong. As one of the blurb said (and Tony Kornheiser would probably agree):

"Anyone who engages in fraudulent voter registration activities should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."
:-)

If those got ripped up, what would happen when the person went to vote? I think I'd be pretty mad if they told me I couldn't vote because I didn't register when I dang well know I did. :-t

Of course, then there's my friend who lives in a different district than the one he's registered in. He intends to drive there and vote again. If I were a really mean person, I could tell the polling people that he doesn't live there and get him in trouble (since it's illegal to vote in someone else's district than the one you reside in). It'd help my cause since he's voting for the guy I don't want to win! }:-)

There's also the fact that he hasn't re-registered in four years, so maybe his name's off the roll anyway! B-)

Yeah, I know it does, that's why I prefaced "and I'm sure there have been indiscretions from my Democratic brothers"...

It's a disgrace, don't care what your party affiliation is.....no excuse for denying someone their basic rights as an American citizen.

Another tactic that really disturbed me:
A brand new campaign mailer distributed by the Republican National Committee in West Virginia claims that Democrats will outlaw the bible if they win in November. The print ad displays a picture of a bible with the "Banned" across it and then shows a picture of a man on his knees placing a ring on another man's hand in an apparent marriage proposal with the word "Allowed" across that picture. The mailer goes on to state "Vote Republican to protect our families and defeat the liberal agenda," and then states that the liberal agenda includes removing "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance." Republican National Committee Chairman Ed Gillespie claims he has not seen nor did he know of such a mailing, but said that it did not suprise him, and called the issues it raises legitimate for the campaign.

Sad that we've come to this crap. :-t
This is not the country I grew up in.
