I think deep down we all know the goverment/s would LOVE to have us all chipped up and trackable 24/7. There would have to be a MASSIVE unheard of shift in the public here in the USA for this (The technology) to ever become a requirement by law for the ordinary Joe (Perhaps some obscene terrorist action would make it a reality?). Prisoners and former prisoners, child predators etc, should ALL be chipped NOW not later.

"chip" & "chipped" Hmmm. You've turned the noun into a verb. Way to be a trendsetter.
You're thinking laws. I don't think the government will have to pass anything for this to become universal. Think "convenience," think "time-saving," think "quick n easy," think "safety" (can't be kidnapped anymore if your kids can always be tracked). Credit cards are just about universal too, no laws required there.
Worrisome, this. The slow merging of man and machine has begun. I don't know what to think yet.
How is this any more than a high tech medical bracelet? And anyways, aren't you supposed to disclose your medical conditions to your employers and insurance companies? And like homeless said, this is a great way to keep track of prisoners and sexual predators. Imagine, fugitives would never happen again, because all they have to do is bring up the computer and see where the person is.
"...He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark..."
It's coming, and it's inevidable.
Yo, Met... thanks for the sig! GO DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
