Remaining Qb's

Postby Eraus » Wed Jul 16, 2003 4:54 am

I'm in an 8 team keeper league where we keep 5 players each year. Obviously most of the good Qb's are gone. I ranked those who remain and wanted to get some feedback and differing opinions on the rankings. Some guys are higher because they are young and it is a keeper league.

Brooks
Favre
Maddox
Hasselbeck
Mcnair
Collins
Brees
Johnson (TB)
Harrington
Feidler
Plummer
Stewart
Couch
Kitna
Brunnell

Generally, I think the ranking is pretty good except for the following:

1) I would not rank Favre up so high because it is a keeper league

2) I think Fiedler and Harrington should both be moved up to at least a top #5 position. Both have lots of potential and have a good squad around them...it's only a matter of time.

3) I think Hasselback is a good choice at #2 or #3

No way I rank Fiedler that high, maybe not even as high as you have Eraus, he's never been a great fantasy QB, Griese is causing uncertainty, and he's not that young. I would move Favre down and Harrington up. Brooks, Hasselbeck, Maddox, Brees, McNair, Collins & Harrington would probably be how I see them in a keeper league.

So if you had a choice would you take Hasselbeck over Brooks??
I can pick my QB because I have the 2nd and 3rd pick in the 1st round. I'm planning on taking Brooks.

That's crazyspeak, take Brooks. People are way too high on Hasselbeck. Oh, he'll be good - but not that good!

Do you already have a QB? Brooks is great as a keeper, but I'm hearing a lot of rumors that he is not healed from his shoulder surgery. Could be problems is he is your number one. If you do grab him, get a good backup as soon as you can.
It's time to roll the dice!
