Ah, Okay I see that this league heavily favors TouchDowns...50 yards for a passing pt and 20 for a receiving pt gives this away. This was similar to my league last year. In a 14 team league, the talent is going to be greatly spread around. You MUST realize that means the most precious commodity...RB's will be few and far between. If you have a top ten pick, nab a RB, ESPECIALLY if you have a top 5 pick. Now, say you slip in the draft to somewhere around 12. If All the RB's are gone, I would go after a stud WR. You can prob wait another round or two for your quarterback.
But just remember FOR THE LIFE OF YOU: If you have a top ten pick, nab a RB otherwise you'll be left with the Mike Andersons and Moe Williams of the league
Immediately dump Freddie Jones. He's playing on Arizona, for God's sakes. Try to find Billy Miller in Free Agency if he's available...also Glenn is not a good WR in D-Town...they just don't have the talent to get a good passing offense going yet. Then again, I have no idea who is available in Free Agency for you...
Not a lot. Possibly try and add another good receiver by giving away depth. See if anybody would be willing to give up a 2nd or 3rd tier receiver for like Terry Glenn and Tai Streets (or TJ Duckett). Maybe you could walk away with a Toomer, Jimmy Smith, or somebody in that range. I think your options are somewhat limited.
I'd dump suggs...he won't see much playing time this year. from what i've heard they're gonna let him take it slow to get healthy and up to speed on the offense. he might see some time late in the season, but has no business being on a roster.
I'd dump Suggs and pick up one of these guys, in this order:
Onterrio Smith (Bennett could be out all year)
Larry Johnson (What if Priest holds out/is Bo Jackson?)
Corell Buckhalter (Duce ain't really that good, is this the year?)
If any are available they all could be big under the right circumstances.
Agree with dumping Suggs. William Green showed promise at the end of last season and they already have Jamel White, who did a good job of backing up Green. There should be other backs with a better chance at seeing playing time this year.
