Is he supposed to play this weekend? how will the cracked ribs effect his play if he does?

Oct 15 San Francisco 49ers TE Eric Johnson (ribs) did not practice Friday, October 15, and is expected to play in Week 6 action, according to head coach Dennis Erickson. He is officially listed as questionable.

here is a good place. If you are looking for a specific player Yahoo is good, TSN, KFFL etc...

Johnson pulled out of a practice last week and was reported as questionable. The pain was to great to finish practice yet he put up 162 and a td. He'll play.

16OCT04 SF Chronicle on Eric Johnson : TE Eric Johnson said the muscle spasms related to his cracked rib have stopped and he hopes to start Sunday. Johnson played last week with a specially-designed wrap around his ribs and took a local anesthetic before the game and during halftime, which likely will continue this week.
