Kyle Brady to start against the Chiefs

Postby Diablo13 » Sat Oct 16, 2004 2:57 pm

Byron hasn't used Wrighster much (other than one decent game in week 3 I believe). Does anyone think that Brady will improve this offense much. And on the other hand, will brady be a worth while TE.

Most people say to let a guy go through a game first before starting him on your roster...but I am desperate at TE with Heap down. I know this is a "who to start/bench" question. But my overall question is Brady's FF success. Will he be thrown right into the mix in Jax or will they work him in slowly. Likewise, is will he be good enough to increase Byrons value. If so, does the pass game open up enough to increase taylors value...

Any comments greatly appreciated.

He's no big deal unless you are bone dry at TE.

Ya Id have to be pretty desperate to start brady. As far as improving the offense, he cant be much better than wrighster otherwise he woiuld have started earlier.

Actually this can be seen as important. Brady is an excellent run blocker. Hopefully the return of Brayd can help some FTaylor owners out.

Consider this.

KC has given up 11 receptions, 108 yards, and 3 TD's to TE's. And they haven't even played ANY respectable TE's.

You know that Jax will identify this and try to exploit it.

Plus they have the element of suprise, so to speak. KC will not have a chance to see how Brady will work into the offense this season. I don't profess to be an expert, I just think Heap might work into the offense faster than most experts are saying.

Actually he has been hurt all year since the 3rd preseason game which is why he hasn't played. That being said he is NOT a good option to have as a regular TE. He is going to have one or maybe two games where he puts up 2 td's and/or pretty good yardage numbers. The rest of the games he will have 3 to 5 catches for 25-60 yards and occassionally a touchdown thrown in. I put him in the same boat as Te's like Franks or Freddie Jones. In my opinion he is a coin flip/bye week fill in player is all. If you can happen to catch him/them on that one week they explode then it works out great, otherwise its mediocre fantasy numbers. His bigger impact IMO is in the running game especially this first week. I think he will help make Fred finally bust out and put up some numbers.

just my opinion

Sorry to bump an injured TE question,
But I think it might be important to consider what KC gives up to TE's

Thanks all!
