Will the Redskins - Packers game decide the election?

Postby dgroundhog_ffc » Sun Oct 17, 2004 7:02 am

I read that the last Redskin game before the election has predicted the winner of the election for the last 72 years - 18 elections in a row. The Redskins face the Packers Oct 31.

The trend has been if the Redskins win or tie, the incumbent wins the election. If the Redskins lose, the challenger wins.

I guess I support Bush then, because there is no way I want the Packers to win. Friggin' Cheeseheads.

Well, I wan't the 'Skins to lose because they suck and are in the G-Mens' division, but not having Kerry in office is more important than the 'Skins winning... so Go 'Skins!

I wouldn't think either winning would be good for Kerry... He did in fact call Lambeau Field Lambert Field. Bush wins Wisconsin.

How did it predict the last 18 elections? There was no incumbent last year.

Sorry, I meant 4 years ago, not last year.

I get it now though, incumbent party not president. With all that being said, I'm hoping for a tie.

EDIT: Ok a tie wouldn't work either.

So can they call off the election now that this has been decided? It would spare us all a lot of campaign commercials... :-)
