Ok, I just drafted for my fantasy football team, and I came up a bit short on receivers:
Joey Galloway
Darrel Jackson
Marty Booker
Az-zahir Hakim
D'wayne Bates
Travis Taylor
I have 3 starters, and I'd like to keep 5 total for backups. I'm in a 10 team Yahoo league. Oh, and here are the best of the FAs:
TIm Dwight
Steve Smith
Stokes
Wayne
Morton
Kennison
Warrick
and all the receivers like that.
Could you please help me pick the 5 best? Thank you!
Drop Bates for Steve Smith. Otherwise, if you want something better you'll have to make a trade. Jackson, Booker, and Galloway might be good enough starters all season if you have the running backs to make up for it.
ok, the rest of my team looks like this:
QB
Tommy Maddox
Matt Hasselbeck
RB
LaDanian
William Green
Troy HAmbrick
TE
T-Gon
Freddie Jones
which brings up another question- what should i do with hambrick?MAck, Hearst, Zeroeue, and all the TAmpa backs are available. Which one is most valuable?
THanks for the help!

Probably Hearst. Any of those you mentioned (other than Tampa backs) are a better idea than Hambrick.
I take it you took Tomlinson, Green, Gonzalez 1,2,3? This may sound crazy, but I might try to shop T-Gon for a top receiver maybe in a package deal. Target someone who stocked up on receivers and see if you can't nab a receiver who also went in the third round like Ward, Horn, etc. Maybe something like Ward and Crumpler for Galloway and Gonzalez. It hurts to give up a premiere tight end, but you are in serious need of another receiver.

Is it just me?
I don't see all that much short about Booker, Jackson and Galloway.
Add that to Hass, Maddux, LT(!), W Green and Gonzo.
A little fine tuning, maybe.
Check your waivers for Charles Rogers (especially) and Andre Johnson. Both are quite possibly undrafted and both should be very solid contributors (though Rogers situation is arguably much better).
An interesting article pointed out that rookie RB's and WR's WHEN GIVEN SIGNIFICANT PLAYING TIME, perform as well as the "average" NFL player at their position. These two guys are in situations where they may easily turn in above average performances as rookies. Picking one of these guys up off waivers is probably as good as drafting a WR after round 4 or 5, essentially a free 6th round draft pick.
