Why is NFL.COM charging need help finding free league

I coordinate a league and we have played on nfl.com for 2 years for free. Now they are charging for a team now any one have suggestions for a place for use to play. I have checked fox, espn, nbc, cnn and yahoo. Yahoo is still free but kind of weak. Can anyone help ??

Yahoo is the best free site, and w/ StatTracker, I woudn't go anywhere else. I currently commish a league on Yahoo and we currently have openings if you're interested. All we ask is that you're an active GM. It's a 10 team, h2h league. Here are the details for sign-up:

I always played one game in NFL.com, but that was just to have acess to their resources. I thought their system was to ridgid and didn't allow for enough ster slots. Yahoo is waaay better. If you liked NFL.com, Yahoo is customizable (unlike NFL.com) you can make the system the same.

it am one of those folks who gets upset when something i got for free now has a charge attached....its just the principle.

prior to my involvment in fantasy football, i went years without paying a lot of attention to the nfl games. i enjoyed card collecting, but had very little (if any) other licensed merchandise.

since i starting playing FF about 12 years ago, i know follow the league year around. i buy jerseys of my favorite players and team and i am sure also buy more sponsers products.

i understand some of the non league sites charging for fantasy football, but the nfl as the source may be shooting itself in the foot to just get a few more dollars rather than cultivating more fans.

If I convert the current price to NZ dollars I'm payin upwards of 45 -50 dollars!! for one fantasy team

Its a shame too, because I was lookin forward to playing in the winners league since last year out of the three leagues I was in, I managed to get into the finals in two of them and win one.

Not bad for a Rookie manager from a country where NFL football is not talked about much huh

I'm goin to join yahoo but i'm sure the competition won't be that intense. As I found that many owners in free leagues just gave up midway thru the season OR if they had a bad draft.
