Medically speaking, there's not necessarily that much difference between a bad strain and a slight tear. Hamstrings can be stubborn to heal once you strain them and the Vikings would be wise to wait until it's close to 100% so he doesn't make it worse by playing. Strains will get worse with activity.
Wow...I'd just like to share that the guy with Moss in my league also has had Anquan Boldin, Steve Smith, Jim Kleinsasser, John Hall, and Chris Brown going through injuries...now Moss and possibly Warrick Dunn...simply incredible.
Yeah, Tice likes to decieve. ESPN News just said he would be available for "goal line plays," but once again, that's Tuesday speculation.
It'd really be nice if he were out for a while, though...I got Burleson last week as a two week filler. If he's out for a few weeks, I could have a very usable #3 or #2. The way Culpepper is throwing though he could be a #3 anyway!

I think it's likely Moss will miss this week but then be back later. I saw somewhere it was mentioned that this could be a 6 week injury. To me that means it could linger for 6 weeks but not that he would miss necessarily 6 weeks.
