I don't believe he'll be back either, but if I had the roster room I'd sure pick him up & hang on for a couple weeks just in case. Risk vs Reward, all you're risking is having the other owners make fun of you a little.
Dammit Moore, either get the starting job or sit down! I need room to manuver on the WW!!!
Actually, contrary to popular belief, Ricky Williams is more annoying because nagging girlfriends are replaceable.
I'm a married man, but each of my previous nagging girlfriends I consider to be almost interchangeable. That is to say, once they got too annoying, they were replaced with someone slightly less annoying. However, as annoying as Ricky is, having a Sammy Morris, Leonard Henry and Brock Forsey RBBC on a team that put up decent running back numbers the last two years is really annoying.
Hence, Ricky Williams is more annoying than nagging girlfriends.

I think some people are forgetting: Ricky has to serve a year suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, so even if the NFL reinstates him --bam, he's suspended. Not to mention he's been out of football shape for what? 8 months now?
Better luck next year Ricky, that is, if Edge doesn't come to MIA in the off-season.

No one has forgotten that. The whole point of the meeting with the NFL is to get the year suspension removed. His lawyers think that there is a good chance for that to occur. And the NFL has NEVER came out and said that Ricky would be suspended for a year if he came back. That is an assumption made by the media due to the assumed fact that Ricky tested positive for a 3rd failed drug test.
The NFL keeps their records confidential, and we'll all know the story on Thursday. But I just find it hard to believe that the Dolphins would let him play on their team this year, EVEN if he is allowed back into the league this year.
You're being generous BH. 1000-1, 10000-1 There is no way the NFL will allow Williams to bend the rules to suit him. The NFL is god when it comes to football. They don't take kindly to being screwed with.
I don't think that the NFL will try to help out Ricky at all. The reason is that he has openly admitted to smoking dope and saying that he wouldn't quit. By the NFL letting him back in without AT LEAST making him serve a full penalty for coming out of retirement before a year and failing drug tests, would be inviting tons of criticism. They would basically be letting a known drug user back into the NFL.
