I'm in a 10-man league. 6 pts rush/rec tds. 4 pts passing td. Yardage counts 1/10. 10 yds = 1 pt. rush/rec. My question is this... I'm getting Portis in rnd 1. Should I get another rb, maybe a Barber or somebody in that tier of rbs or should I take Manning if he's available and pick up my #2 RB in the 3rd? I think he'll be a top 3 qb this year, but this is my 2nd year in FF and I've always heard to wait on qbs unless you can take a top one early. Opinions appreciated.

In a ten team league there is still going to be good QB's available in the third and fourth rounds. Manning is great, but the difference between him and the guys you can get round 4 are smaller then the difference between picking up Edge or a similar RB and the A train who will be available in the 4th round. I say go with the RB in RD 2.

I would take a QB in the 3rd round. In a few live mock drafts in a 10 team league, i snagged mcnabb like with the 30th overall pick.

Thanks, guys. I had originally wanted to take RB, RB, WR, WR, and TE and QB over the next two rounds. Does anyone think A-Train is worth 3RB spot? Or will he be riding the pine? And if he does start, will he be worth it?

I'm a Bears fan and I can say that I would not take A-Train in the 3rd spot! I don't even know that he'll be the starter by the time the season rolls around. They are talking about bringing in Jamal Anderson for God's sake! Anyway - I am not sure I would wait that long to take a QB. Draft the RB's in one and two and if you can get a quality guy and your league is set up for great points for a QB - take one with your 3rd or 4th pick depending on who's at receiver when it's your turn for your 3rd pick.

I might look to take a Shockey, Gonzo, or Heap in the 4th round if I pick late in that 4th round and they are still there, if all 3 are gone by the time you pick in the 4th round I'd take a wideout. The difference between those 3 and the next TE will be bigger than the difference between a WR you could have taken in their place and the next WR that becomes available to you.
