Bucs HC Jon Gruden, commenting on the Tampa Bay RB situation, had this to say: "Mike Pittman is our halfback. Mike Alstott is a Pro Bowl running back that also plays halfback in a two-back set. Mike Pittman is our starter. Aaron Stecker is right now our backup halfback. If Mike Pittman, for whatever reason, is not a part of our team, Aaron Stecker would be our starter if we’d play today."

Whether he sees jail time in connection with his offseason arrest on felony assault charges or not, running back Michael Pittman's chances of finishing this season with Tampa Bay aren't very good. For that matter, Pittman may be a long shot to even finish the preseason as a Buc.
