You think McCardell will start or play in Week 7?

Article in today's SD paper quoted GM as saying it's too soon to tell when McCardell will play. SD was granted a two-game roster exemption, so it looks like he can suit up if they think he's ready.

I would think next week at all. That will give him time to become aclimated with the offense, personnel, schemes, etc.

But that is just my opinion.

I picked him up, but I am not going to start him until he shows me something on the field.

He will not suit up this week.

And I will go further and say that he will not be on the field regularly for at least a month or more.

Tampa runs a west coast scheme. San Diego is Marty-ball. Keenan is gonna have to adjust to a completely different system and get used to a new QB. That stuff takes a training camp. Training camp lasts 1.5 months.

There was a scramble in my league to pick him up, and I sat out that scramble. My brother snagged him and he's gonna get impatient pretty soon, because while McCardell is good, and Reche Caldwell looks like hes done for the year, the numbers wont be great until mid-November.

I wouldnt start him fantasy-wise this week, but my bet is that he plays, but of course, I could be completely wrong

I wouldn't start him this week either but I definitely think he'll play. It's not like the Chargers have a lot of options now that Caldwell is injured. It definitely won't take McCardell a month to adjust to this offense.

I agree totally,
I am pretty sure he'll be on the field this week, but I would play any more likely starter this week. I do think that he will integrate into this offense well and soon. I like seeing him in SD.
